The PRIDE Survey: While no one as of yet knows the results of the survey, we will be informed after the BOE becomes aware of the results. A
forum will be presented to the community on 01/11/05. The community needs to be encouraged to attend. The Wellness Council will be at the
meeting.

Friday Night Live: The last one was well attended by 200 students. (Mostly 6th and 7th graders with some 8th graders.) This Friday, Nov. 19th,

Tuesday, December 7, 2004

Attendance: Ken Nersesian - Robin Asighieri (Seaford Kiwanis) - Christine Kern - Joanne Bellissimo - Debbie De George  - Barbara De Leon - Liz
Gaebler

The meeting opened at 7:35pm in the Seaford Middle School library by Ken Nersesian.  Introductions, why we joined the Wellness Council and
brainstorming ideas were offered by all attendees.  Mr. Ragon was not available to give us a
Pride Survey update.  The results will be revealed
at the district assembly on Jan. 11, 2005 at the Seaford HS Auditorium.  The Seaford Wellness Council will be present.  Ken stated that we might
have a meeting prior to that meeting.

Friday Night Live - Barbara Richko/Andrea Goldstein were not available to report, but Ken said that they are doing a fantastic job.  He feels that
FNL should become a subcommittee and only report to us when needed.

Open House -  Ken said that he and Mike Di Silvio were at the open houses at both the Middle School and at the High School.  The response
from the parents of the Middle School was more favorable than that of the High School parents.  Ken felt that where they were stationed in the
High School was a detriment to them.  Next year he will request a different station located at the entrance.

Hot Chocolate Run - "Great Success".  The runners were enthusiastic and looked forward to it's return.  It was suggested that we call it the
"Fast and Flat Hot Chocolate Run."  It was also suggested that we coordinate it with the
Firehouse Christmas Tree Lighting which was later
that evening.  Liz Gaebler reported that we made a profit of between $500-$1000.  Ken said he would like to see more sponsors next year to
cover the entire cost of the race.  It was also suggested that instead of water bottles, that small cups of water be placed on tables for the
runners to grab and go.  We need volunteers to clean up the cups along the course afterwards.

Ken strongly suggested that Liz Gaebler give a monthly treasurer's report and that all checks drawn should  have 2 signatures.  A discussion
followed. Ken will review the bylaws.

Cell Tower - Congressman Peter King wrote a letter to Governor George Pataki to take down the cell tower.

Beautification Committee -  Christine Kern wants to coordinate a meeting with all the different civil/service groups/organizations in Seaford to
get them involved with her project.

Ken wants to get involved in fund raising efforts within the next few meetings for the spring.

The meeting was ended at 8:40

Respectfully submitted,  Barbara De Leon Secretary
