| The Seaford Wellness Council brought back the Hot Chocolate Run on Saturday, December 4, 2004. For race results visit: www.flrrt.com. This popular 5K Run was a favorite for many runners in the 1980s, as the course is fast and flat with only four right turns. Many PRs are set, and runners enjoy hot chocolate and bagels afterward. The awards ceremony includes first place overall male and female trophies as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for males and females in age groups starting 9 and under, and every 5 year age group up to 75 and over. All proceeds from this community event are used specifically for youth programs in Seaford. Substance abuse and health education as well as leadership training programs are sponsored to promote healthy lifestyles to our youth. We endeavor to make this event bigger and better each year and will host the Third Annual Hot Chocolate Run 9:00AM on Saturday, December 2, 2006. Photos from the 2004 Run are posted below. |
