Michael Di Silvio opened the meeting by greeting all those present.

Friday Night Live:
The last Friday Night Live was a success.  The next one is scheduled for March 12, 2010.

Gazebo:
Michael Di Silvio indicated that there are one or two broken spindles, but there has been a decrease in damage
done to the gazebo.  The Town of Hempstead has removed the video camera and it has not been brought back
yet.  Mike will contact the town regarding the re-installation of the camera.

Washington Avenue Park:
Peter Ruffner reviewed a letter from Brian Schneider updating the status of the construction.  Peter also
indicated that the park would not be available to Little League this spring due to the construction.

Field of Honor:
Michael Di Silvio informed the group that there was very positive feedback regarding the Field of Honor.  The
American Legion invited Mike Mancino and the Wellness Council to the post on January 20 to thank them for
the event.

Tackapausha Clean-up:
National Trails Day is June 5, 2010.  Peter Ruffner spoke to Wendy from Tackapausha about the area to be
cleaned up this year.  Members of the Wellness Council will be in touch with various local groups regarding
volunteering for the clean-up.

Message Board:
The electronic message board at the high school should be fixed within a week.

Hot Chocolate Run:
Angela Egan gave a financial report wrapping up the Hot Chocolate Run.  The group went over a timetable to
facilitate the running of the event for 2010.

New Business:
The group discussed possible new programs that would benefit senior citizens.  Additionally, the group talked
about a drug education program for parents and students.
