The Wellness Council thanks
all volunteers for their fine
efforts which have made
National Trail Day a success
in Seaford  for four
consecutive years.
On June 3, 2006 the
members of the Seaford
Wellness Council participated
in a clean-up of the
Tackapausha Preserve.
Also participating were
members of the Lions Club
and Boy Scouts as well as
other members of the
community.  The volunteers
were split into groups and
combed the preserve picking
up debris around the
museum, ponds and trails.
Members discovered an
elaborate man-made trail of
wooden planks leading
through high reeds to a
make-shift shelter.  In and
around the shelter were
plastic boxes, shopping carts,
tiki torches and many beer
cans and bottles, all of which
were dismantled and
removed.

The Wellness Council thanks
all who participated in the
clean-up as well as Carole
Ryder and assistant Wendy
for assisting with this effort
and providing educational
facts about the Preserve.

We wish to repeat this
clean-up in the fall.
