On Saturday, February 7th, the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation brought their lifesaving cardiac screening program to Seaford High School in recognition of National Youth Heart Screening Day.
More than 200 student-athletes received free heart screenings, and students also had the opportunity to learn CPR — valuable tools that can help protect young lives.
We thank the Seaford Union Free School District for opening their doors for this important event, and we are especially grateful to the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation and Heart Screen NY for coordinating and conducting the screenings.
Approximately 150 doctors, nurses, technicians, and volunteers made the day possible.
The Seaford Wellness Council was proud to support the event by providing lunch to the dedicated medical professionals and volunteers who generously gave their time to our community.
Together, we continue working to promote the health and safety of Seaford’s young athletes
